Pegasus Health

We worked with Pegasus Health to assist them with their communications needs throughout the Covid-19 response. This included working with their internal emergency operations centre team to provide internal comms for staff, CEO and Board communications via video and webinars. We also helped them development

We engaged Georgina to run our internal communications activity during the Covid-19 response period. This involved being a member of our internal emergency operations centre and working closely with our People and Capability Manager to prepare our 300 staff for a potential lockdown scenario, supporting staff as they worked remotely and

then a managed return to the office.

Georgina ensured that all of our staff were regularly updated and communicated with through a variety of means. She produced daily email updates, information pages on our intranet, FAQs and guidelines, video diaries of those involved

in the primary care response, photo competitions highlighting our people juggling working from home and family commitments and weekly webinars for me and panel guests to address staff, answer their questions and ensure we retained high levels of engagement with our people.

We had a lot of positive feedback from staff about how well we communicated with them during this challenging time. We have even been able to reuse some of the content produced for our annual report and customer newsletters. This year has certainly been a reminder for myself and our leaders about how crucial well planned and delivered internal communications is to ensure a healthy culture in the workplace.

Georgina assisted us with a refresh of our organisational values. This involved working with our team through a

process of reviewing and analysing information and feedback from sessions conducted with our staff focus groups, drafting up proposed values and descriptor statements and testing the outcomes with our staff via online surveys

and final testing with our people leaders.

We needed to ensure that our values reflected the culture of the organisation and aligned well with our new strategic direction, could be easily remembered and were meaningful for our people.

 

Georgina's understanding of our strategic goals enabled her to structure the values in a way that flowed effectively

from our new vision and mission. She also suggested extending the value statements into behaviour statements that

all began with the word "I" providing our people with a really clear understanding of the expected behaviours we need them to demonstrate at work. The refreshed value statements and action orientated "I" statements resonated really

well with staff and received a lot of positive feedback.

 

We now have a set of values that not only reflect our culture and resonate with our staff but are memorable and action orientated to ensure our people's behaviours are aligned to achieve our new vision and mission.

I found Georgina’s approach refreshing, fun and thought-provoking. She ensured that we explored ideas and

challenged our thinking so that we reached the best outcome.
